Rick Lamb is a veteran TV and radio host, author, and speaker. He was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas.

As a teenager, Rick ran a newspaper route and became an Eagle Boy Scout. During college, he worked at the public library by day and played music in nightclubs at night. After college, he programmed mainframe computers for several years before starting an audio recording business in Phoenix, Arizona.

The recording business was his springboard into the horse industry. In 1997, he launched a syndicated radio program, The Horse Show with Rick Lamb, and followed it up in 1999 with a second, The Horse Show Minute. The radio shows have since won nine awards for excellence.

In 2006, Rick made the jump to television with The Horse Show with Rick Lamb on RFD-TV. His wife, Diana, is director and primary videographer for this magazine format TV program, which has also been recognized with numerous awards.

Rick brings a wealth of insight and speaking skill to his expo lectures, leaving audiences with plenty of food for thought as well as practical suggestions for improving their lives with horses. He also hosts the annual colt-starting contest, “Road to the Horse.” His expert commentary during this event is considered integral to its success.

The modern classic, The Revolution in Horsemanship and What It Means to Mankind (coauthored by Dr. Robert M. Miller) was Rick’s first foray into books. Other books he’s written include Horse Smarts for the Busy Rider and Human to Horseman. His writing has been featured in “Horse & Rider” and other top magazines.

Rick and Diana live in Phoenix with two horses and a cat. They have three grown children. Rick still plays music occasionally with his video editor, Jay Casmirri—their duo, which appears at the Four States Ag Expo, is called The Blenderz. Visit www.RickLamb.com for more information.
