Terms and Conditions of Sale

1.       Nomination Fee: $150 per bull; $75 per heifer. Fee includes pen for sale animal only.

2.       Non-sale livestock will be housed and displayed separately, and charged appropriate pen fees. Pens will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

3.       Flat commission fee on each animal sold: $100 per bull, $50 per heifer.

4.       Ag Expo floor for bulls is $1800; floor above that will be set at owner’s discretion. There is no floor on heifers. A $50 fee will be charged on any no-sales at or above $2000 for bulls and $1000 for heifers.

5.       All guarantees are strictly between the buyer and seller.

6.       All sales are final. All settlements are required the day of the sale.

7.       You may cancel your entry no later than March 1 for refund. After March 1, no refunds, but you may nominate an equivalent replacement.

8.       Each reservation must include a signed entry form and entry fee.

9.       Bulls in sale must be between 10 and 30 months of age.

10.   Replacement heifer sale will follow the Bull sale.

11.   Check in no later than 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16. Animals must be in place by that time.

12.   All sale animals may be removed immediately after sale on Saturday; there will be no Sunday pick-ups before 3 p.m.

13.   Consignors receive 2 four-day admission passes and 1 parking pass per contract. Additional admission passes available for purchase.

14.    After 8 p.m. Wednesday, no vehicles will be allowed in the main show area. Livestock vehicles will be allowed grounds access ONLY to the livestock areas and ONLY before 8:30 a.m. and after the close of show daily; at all other times vehicles must be parked in designated lots. We take safety seriously, and there will be NO exceptions.

15.   Beginning Thursday at 8:30 a.m. vehicles will be towed if they are left unattended in loading zones or parked in spaces other than designated lots.

16.   Beginning Thursday morning, everyone age 16 or over must wear an appropriate wristband or pass to enter the grounds.

17.   Montezuma County Fairgrounds prohibits dogs except for specific events.

 

Health Requirements

1.      Prior to unloading, ALL LIVESTOCK EXHIBITORS are required to present 30-day health certificates as well as brand papers as required by Colorado Department  of Livestock Inspection.

2.       It is the owner’s responsibility to follow any special requirements posted by CO Department of Agriculture or Colorado State Veterinarian’s office.

3.       All cattle must be negative to Brucellosis within 30 days of arrival and be BVD  vaccinated.

4.       Bulls must have a negative test to Trichomonas Foetus and have passed a breeding soundness test (certification to be furnished or noted on health paper).

5.       Heifers must be Bangs vaccinated.

6.       Any cattle having visible skin disease must have been treated prior to arrival at the Ag Expo; this must be stated by a veterinarian on the health certificate to be shown before animal is unloaded on Ag Expo grounds.

7.       PAP scores are optional, but recommended.
